Installation Guide

1.  Installation of PlayOnline and Final Fantasy Xi.  

• Download these four files into their own folder.

• When the four files are finished downloading to their destination folder, execute FFXISETUP.exe.
  
• Follow the prompts for installing PlayOnline and Final Fantasy Xi, and make sure to take note of where you choose to install your game.
  

2.  Updating PlayOnline.

• Go to the PlayOnline folder and run POL.exe.
  
• This will prompt PlayOnline to update, follow through with it.  
  
• After updating, you'll be provided with TWO options.  Choose existing member!
  
• Enter this information:
  
  Member Name: ABCD4321
  PlayOnline ID: ABCD4321
  PlayOnline Password: ABCD4321
  SquareEnix ID: ABCD4321.
  
  
• Close PlayOnline.
  

3.  Updating Final Fantasy Xi.

• Download this 7zip file.  It provides files that will be needed to update your game and later log into our server.

• When that downloads, extract it to a folder.  Select everything inside the "UPDATE" folder and copy it.
  
• Redirect yourself to where you installed your files.  In .\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy Xi and paste those files into it.
  
• Files will attempt to overwrite, allow it.
  
• Run POLBOOT.exe and choose "Check Files" this time.  Use the drop down menu and select Final Fantasy, the version will be unknown.
  
• It will do a small file check and then prompt to repair.  Continue.
  
• This part of the file repair will take a few hours.  Don't proceed to Part Four until it's complete.
  

4.  Copying over folders.

• When your file repair completes, go to .\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnline and highlight the "data" folder.  Copy it and go to .\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy Xi.  Paste it here.
  
• To edit the resolution of your game, go to .\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XI\ToolsUS\FINAL FANTASY XI Config.
  
• You're done with the installation!!
